my absolutely favorite thing in the world is when someone from the uk/europe learns about police brutality in the us and then is quick to say it'd never happen in the uk...like the us isn't the brain child of european colonialism. like they didn't participate in the transatlantic slave trade. like, to this day, black men aren't indiscriminately abused and targeted by european police officers...

          for any who didnt know— i'm black (proudly so) and will always advocate for any activism to bring attention to the #blacklivesmatter movement and consequent attention to struggles within the black community. in light of george floyd's murder, i want to express to any of my followers to go out and peacefully protest. sign petitions. donate. spread the word and lift up black voices, especially if you are white. email and call your representatives. share, like, and repost any information protestors can use to keep themselves safe. be aware of the one-sided narrative the media is sharing, be aware of your rights, and be aware that you are either WITH or AGAINST us.
