First of all, thank you for still waiting for Mixed Signals and for caring enough to ask about it. As a writer, there's honestly no better feeling than knowing there are readers who are still looking forward to the story despite my long absence.
To answer your question—yes, I do plan on continuing and finishing Mixed Signals.
The truth is, I've been a little stuck lately. I originally planned to finish Backstage Love first before fully diving back into Mixed Signals this year, but I hit a creative block with the story. On top of that, my job has been demanding a lot of my time and attention, which has made it difficult to sit down and write the way I used to.
I also won't lie - I was quite affected by the recent news about Mark. While I completely respect and support his decisions, it still took me some time to process everything emotionally, especially since Backstage Love has been such a huge part of my life for years. Writing stories inspired by people you admire can sometimes feel a little different when reality suddenly changes.
That said, I haven't abandoned either story. They're both still very close to my heart. I just don't want to force chapters out when I'm not in the right headspace to give them the quality they deserve.
If everything goes well, I'm hoping to slowly return to writing around August. If work continues to be hectic, then it may be closer to November. I can't promise exact dates yet, but I do promise that I haven't forgotten these stories or the readers who have stayed with them.
Thank you for being patient with me and for staying with NCT of these characters for so long. I truly appreciate every message, every read, and every person who's still waiting. I hope when I finally return, it'll be worth it.
