I enjoy reading. My favorite genres are: urban fantasy, horror (specifically supernatural horror) and fantasy. I like stories that juxtapose the wondrous or horrifying next to real life settings. I love to see characters who wrestle with issues that are bigger than themselves.

I write stories set in the Appalachian mountain range. Most of them take place in some part of West Virginia. I love the people and the culture of that part of America. I grew up surrounded by the ghost stories and superstitions that are unique to this part of the world. I try to capture that in my writing.
