Hey Josselyn I know you're in reading mode now but by scrolling through my board looking at my old convo, I stumbled onto one of our convo when you said our discussion about Klaylope not being portrayed enough like Royalty in the show as the writters had hinted gave you an idea to make your own Royalty Klaylope story, I don't know what you had in mind specifically but I thought I should tell you maybe you'd remember.
If you want I can do a screenshot of our convo and send it to you via mail or I send it on Tory's phone and she trandfer it to you ?

@Izzyswan02 As for Bonnie Bonnie is the ultimate blueprint for having no self-respect, purely because the narrative forced her into being everyone’s perpetual savior. Her entire life was a non-stop cycle of trauma, sacrifice, and pain, yet she constantly put her own feelings and safety on the backburner to bail out people who barely prioritized her. The characters only ever seemed to truly value her when they needed a spell done, a boundary lowered, or a life saved. She died multiple times, lost her grandmother, lost her magic repeatedly, and had her own happiness ripped away, yet she still couldn't stand up for herself and say "no." The writers constantly stripped Bonnie of her agency and dignity just to keep the other characters alive, making her the most tragically exploited character in the entire universe. It fits perfectly into that whole pattern of characters completely sacrificing their own worth and boundaries.

@Izzyswan02 True Aurora never had a foundation of being valued before Klaus, so she never learned self-respect, but Cami had the psychological background to know better and still completely ignored her own boundaries. The way you exposed the Salvatore brothers' lack of self-respect is incredibly accurate too. Damon running back to Katherine as a mere distraction from Elena, completely looking past how Katherine played him and lied about the tomb, was so desperate. And Stefan was in deep denial, clinging to the hope that Elena's feelings for Damon weren't real—even after she confessed the truth under compulsion. He dragged that lack of self-respect all the way into the Silas debacle in Season 5 before finally accepting it. Klaus bending over backwards for Caroline, Cami, and Elijah especially chasing Caroline through endless rejections completely diminished his hybrid authority. Rebekah letting men walk all over her just to be loved, and Elena dating Damon despite knowing what he did to her friends, just highlights the total lack of standards. Hayley had absolutely no self-respect when it came to Elijah either. Their relationship felt forced right from Season 1, but the writers took it to a frustrating level in Season 3 when they pushed her straight back to Elijah after Jackson died .

@josselyn777 true Camille absolutely has no self respect and yeah Aurora too the only difference is that Aurora was never valued for her before meeting Klaus so she never learned to love and respect herself while Camille should have known better yet she didn't. I also think at times Damon, Stefan and Klaus has no self respect too, Damon had no self respect when it comes to Katherine(he was ready to go back to her as a distraction from his feelings for Elena even though she lied about being in the tomb and how she played with him and Stefan), Stefan had no self respect when he desperately clinged to his illusion of Elena's feelings for Damon not being real (even though it was obvious to everyone but Elena she had feelings for Damon) even after Elena said the truth under compulsion that while she still loves Stefan she's not in love with him anymore she's in love with Damon he couldn't accept it and only gave up his denial during the whole Silas debacle in season 5, as for Klaus he has no self respect when he keeps bending backward to please Caroline,Camille or Elijah + when he kept chasing after Caroline who kept rejecting him. There's also Rebekah and Elena who has no self respect as Rebekah let her lover treat her like shit just cuz she's in love while for Elena she kinda have no self respect to date Damon (like I love Delena but Damon did do lots of shit to Elena indirectely by doing shit to her friend) but at least she's aware of it she just can't help her feelings. Do you think Bonnie not standing up to herself and being everyone's savior all the time while her life always comes second can be considered as her not having self respect ?
