An engineer by trade, I like to tell stories that develop empathy with others' experiences and perspectives while depicting the beauty and complexity of our need for each other and the effect of our environment on our living condition. I enjoy literary fiction, historical fiction, sci-fi, short stories, coming-of-age narratives and books that make me think. My first book, 'What the Bird Sees in Flight,' a short story collection about a New Zealand farming family, was published in 2021.
