@prxttyinpink1 yea it definitely shows up in most wattpad books and its sad because it stems from real life and the cycle just continues when these preteens are projecting abuse in their book because it’s normal for women in this society to be sexually harassed, assaulted and beat down. And the men always and always have the upper hand and it just fucking disgusts me. So yea its not just bwwm but in this category the casual abuse is much more present, the general hatefulness and the huge attitudes with no backbone behind it, the abuse submission in sexual scenes (even if the girl likes it) i cannot get down with that at all. And its sad because its other black authors limiting black girls and putting them into this tiny box so they dont shine, so they don’t inspire. Like we don’t even realize as women were still binding ourselves to the sexist society men created and we are actively letting it bleed into our books when we should be doing the exact opposite. There are enough abusive books on this app so other girls can relate to trauma. It’s time to switch the narrative and take ourselves back, to put ourselves before the men, stop putting them on a pedestal and put ourselves on it instead with a crown
