My name is Jumie and I'm Muslim. No, I'm not oppressed. No, I'm not a terrorist. And no, I'm not being forced or imprisoned.  But yes, I am misrepresented, I am often misunderstood, and I'm almost always judged. A lot. I believe in peace, not violence. I believe in freedom, not compulsion. I believe in Islam, a religion of God, of justice, of peace. No matter what society says and no matter what the media wants to be believed, I remain strong in my beliefs and my faith. And I'm to spread this message however possible, whether it is through voice, through actions, or through writing.
