As an author and a teacher, K. Alan Leitch writes stories about characters who leap into trouble. His own leaps have taken him to twenty-seven countries, where he's sailed naively into a Caribbean hurricane and slept in an Iban Longhouse in the Borneo jungle. He learned to write at Oxford, then learned to write about teens by teaching them English, coaching their speeches, and generally eavesdropping while managing rehearsals for their plays and musicals. Their voices have helped his novels surpass nearly 2,000 entries to place in three competitions. He loves comic books, ball caps and board shorts, but he's never surfed-which doesn't explain why he lives in a town called Surfers Paradise. That's where he writes in the company of his wife, while watching the water from fourteen floors above it.
