Kanishma Ray is a content writer, aspiring author and most importantly, an avid reader. Her work reflects the influence of prominent writers like Neil Gaiman and Rick Riordan - two of the most prevalent writers on her bookshelf - and caters to readers who enjoy intricate portrayals of humanity, unique renditions of old myths and a lot of dark humor.
Ray has found that she writes from a place of need. It is often said that the only book you ever need to write is the one you wish to read, and Ray's stories are mostly the kind of books she (and all the readers of her Goodreads book club) wished would be available in a book store.
When she's not writing or reading, Ray can be found seeking stories in other forms of art - old paintings, ruined architecture and on the strings of her violin (which she plays quite horribly, too).
