Anyone else participating in NaNoWriMo this month? After spending the better part of today (and most of my free time last week) editing Marry Me On Sunday, I'm finally ready to begin. Since I've been working on the 3rd book in the Grove Valley series (book 2 is already done, or the first draft anyway), I decided to make that my goal for the month. So starting tomorrow, I will be working on Sarah's story, with the intention that by November 30, the first draft of her story will be complete. With more than half completed, it looks like I'll have a busy few weeks ahead of me.

I feel like it's been forever since I posted on here (probably because it has). But summer had to come to an end and I had to return to work, so the last month has been busy as the start of the new year always is but I wanted to thank everyone who has read my story, Marry Me On Saturday. After a bit of a break from writing after I seemed to lose my mojo for a while, I'm happy to report I'm back working on the third story in my Grove Valley series. Book two badly needs to be edited so I can bring Kate's story to you, followed by Sarah's. I have a few other ideas floating around with spin off books based on Libby's story so we'll see if (or more likely when) they come to fruition. Right now, I am focusing on finishing the first draft of Sarah's story before I turn my attention to Charlie's adventures with her favorite furry companion or the drama that ensued after Cass and Josh reconnected at the end of MMOS. So for now, keep reading and I'll keep writing!

I don't know about you, but I had been anxiously awaiting the new Persuasion movie on Netflix this past Friday since it is my favorite book. Despite going into it with low expectations ( I did after all watch the trailer when it was released), I found it did not even rise to those low levels. An odd mix of modern and period piece, it ended up leaving me missing the love and longing between Anne and her captain. The idea of reuniting with a past love has always intrigued me, wondering what might have happened if given a second chance to make things right with someone from your past. So Austen's final novel became inspiration for my story, Marry me on Saturday, and the regret felt by Libby sprung out onto the page.If you're looking for something to counter Netflix's offering, try Austen's original tome or give my story a read.

Happy July, everyone! Things have been a bit crazy around here, but I am excited to announce I am back to writing. The sequel to Marry Me on Saturday is in the editing stage and I am currently working on the third book in the Grove Valley series. More updates to follow.
