Ok I remember now its a book called 'Oh Just Give Up Mr. Alpha' its the same about the mates and the wolves and how that guys mate isn't a wolf I'm not sure if the story us exactly the same because I didn't read all of Direct Approach 

@katie8601 it's a book about this girl who goes to stay with her dad for a summer. then she gets kidnapped by her mate.
