To start our HOLIDAY READ-UNIONS this season, we want to first thank an incredible friend, @ravenwood666may (whose Time Maze we’ve been reading tonight) for all she has done here for Wattpad as well as for us and our stories to boot. 
          
          She’s not around to read quite so much these days but needs no introduction. She’s the queen of the wildest ideas, as evidenced through her FIFTY-NINE stories!!! One never knows just where they’ll end up.
          
          WE think she should come back for an encore at least and leave us with just that one more!

HOLIDAY READ-UNIONS starts tonight through to January 5th for me! ⚡️✨
          
          Anyone joining in for reading exchanges please leave a mention on here if you want other readers or in a book comment somewhere, so I know that you’re “in” and around! Nothing formal, nothing fancy—just read like the old days!
          
          I’m sure not everyone is online at the same time, so I have my reading check-in list ready, a few I’ve been wanting to read with for ages! 
          
          Just need to know which among you might be up for a seasonal R4R holiday cheer break, during these dates, this time around? 
          
          New folks are welcome if you’re looking for exchanges…

          PS - The books I’d love to have somebody read at this point are on @KnightsOfDystopia (a co-written cozy dystopian fantasy series) and we’re looking especially for someone to start out with the most recent origin side story, Otherborn: Grit to test drive that for us & give us your thoughts! There is no really firm order at all to those stories at this point. All reads are absolutely most welcome.

Personal update: The hurricane situation was not as bad as it could’ve been,  but we did have a fire (don’t worry – outside)  Brought down many lines… They were all over the place… We couldn’t go outside, nor could the pets (read here the real problem!  ⛓ ;-))
          
          The power was out for 2 1/2 days at between 3 and 8°C, so also could’ve been worse, but got a little chilly after hot water ran out for my tea.   ☃️
          
          I’m still stuck at 31K words for Nov / no schoolwork (and that might be where it sits for a while…)
          
          Of course, didn’t stop there… Managed a kidney infection at the tail end of that segment, then couldn’t get to the hospital because of another tree down on the highway, which took out our power for another day…
          
          So I’m unlikely to catch up awfully soon, as I need to recover while still dealing with fridge /freezer food. Need the week off. If I get ANY words done, I’ll sure let you know!

HOLIDAY DROP-IN READ-UNIONS, anyone? Now that Halloween has passed… A few of us have been talking about how it would be lovely if we could know whom amongst our friends is online and reading at any given point … A hard thing to know these days.
          
          That led to a discussion about whether we should instigate our own Holiday Drop-in Read-Unions as a practice of getting together here to read once again during school breaks and holidays—since many of us are tied up the rest of the year.
          
          So we’d like to suggest you do the same with your own group of closest reading friends or else join us here! Perhaps you’ll find someone chatting on this profile who has some slots left on their reading card still.
          
          How about it?…
