hey guys! i’ve been listening to a lot of ethel cain for about a year and i’ve been so obsessed with the lore of the ‘preachers daughter’ album! i know a lot of people aren’t familiar with ethel cain or her character’s lore, so i feel like it’d be a cool concept to write a story based off this album after i am finished with my current story because it’s actually fucking crazy. anyways i just got a excited little idea and wanted to share, hope you guys are having a good night <3.

@spiderchainzzz hayden created the character ethel cain and she has a lot of different stories (like in inbred) but for this story im chosing to focus on the preachers daughter lore! every song on the album tells a story that eventually leads to the ending song. thats how i plan to write the story, a chapter or 2 for every song. you should really watch a deep dive into preachers daughter lore its so fucking cool (but rly fucked up)
Hey, i read "Are you mine?" a long time ago and it made me cry SO MUCH. I'm currently reading "Once more to see you", waiting for chapter 22 And I PERSONALLY think the names should switch cuz like in "Are you mine" there was some internalized homophobia and "once more to see you" by Mitski is about like not being able to love the person you love openly and shit so I think it fits. Love you
this is actually such a cool take but here’s my explanaition; personally i named “are you mine” as another rendition of “as you are” (the movie that i based it off of) idk i thought it sounded kind of similar and once more to see you as a reference to the fact that it had been 8 years since stan had been in south park before seeing kyle again, but ur literally so right especially thinking about how once more to see you is so intertwined with are you mine, but i also feel like it has alot to do with my current story so hopefully its not too distracting!! >_<
