Laura Chowns

Hi there! I'm Laura Chowns. I'm 30-something years old and I have been writing since high school with a dream of becoming published and since the traditional route didn't go as planned (rejections were hard to swallow) I started my part-time writing career as an independent author. My books, Primrose: Because I Can't Live Without You and Through the Moon Door are available on Amazon, Kobo, Apple and Barnes and Nobles. I generally write romance and fantasy and I'm an avid reader of the same as well as contemporary novels. 

When I'm not working at my full-time career as a Nurse, or parenting my irritatingly annoying kids, I enjoy reading and writing. Some of my favourite books include: Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, Women of the Other World, and pretty much any of Nora Roberts' older stuff like the Key Trilogy or the Three Sisters Trilogy.

Like most writers on sites like this, I'm looking to build connections with other writers and readers to help support one another and build a following to help promote my book while doing the same for others. I'll be sharing a selection of short stories on here which are/will be free to download from my website as well.
