@Kokeiiyy03 Thembinkosi & Bontle — The Proposal
Thembinkosi planned every moment perfectly. On a warm evening, Bontle arrived at a rooftop covered in red rose petals, lanterns glowing softly, and a bright sign that read:
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
She froze in shock just as Thembinkosi stepped out in a sharp black suit. He took her hands gently.
“Bontle… we’ve been through so much,” he began. “Fights, misunderstandings, family pressure. My family even tried arranging a marriage for me, but they didn’t know my heart already belonged to you. And your brother? I understand his protectiveness—I'll spend my life proving I’m worthy of you.”
His voice softened.
“You’ve seen every flaw in me and still chose to love me. You’re my home, my peace, my joy.”
He dropped to one knee as the lights dimmed and a spotlight glowed over them. A waiter handed him the velvet box. Inside shimmered a princess-cut diamond ring.
“Bontle Mokoena,” he said, “will you marry me?”
With tears streaming, she whispered, “Yes… I’ll marry you.”
He slipped the ring onto her finger as rose petals drifted from above. They embraced, holding onto a love that had survived everything—now stepping into a future that belonged to them.
