Inside shimmered a princess-cut diamond ring. “Bontle Mokoena,” he said, “will you marry me?” With tears streaming, she whispered, “Yes… I’ll marry you.” He slipped the ring onto her finger as rose petals drifted from above. They embraced, holding onto a love that had survived everything—now stepping into a future that belonged to them.
