It’s clearly been misunderstood on what exact situation i’m addressing so here:
I want to make it clear that I do not feel sorry for Charlie Kirk, nor will I mourn him. My empathy lies with his children and wife—who had to witness their loved one bleed out on stage while simply expressing an opinion, and who now have to live the rest of their lives without a father and partner. They will always wonder whether, had we taken stronger action on gun violence earlier, this could have been avoided. I don’t excuse or forgive the things Charlie Kirk has said or done, but I am deeply disgusted by the gun violence and the murder of people—human beings—who are exercising their right to speak and openly debate.
(This is more about the fact gun violence is now so normalised)
