Another picture falls—Madam Vex, not the Mr. Vex she’d imagined, but a woman, auburn hair framing that same eerie hazel stare. Scarlett’s breath catches, fingers trembling as she aligns the photos.
A rumor of Vex’s past twists in her mind. “Time to snuff out his little starshine,” she hisses, a cruel laugh curling her lips. Her heart races with a dark plan: to join Vex, and dim Y/n’s light. The photos blur in flickering candlelight, eyes locked, a secret sharp as thorns, "Finally... It will all be MINE."
