When I was five years old I told my mom I wanted to be an author when I grew up. While I don't remember this proclamation, writing was something that I had always enjoyed. When I was 12 I began writing X-Files and Sliders fan fiction. I didn't call it fanfiction though. That word didn't exist yet. I wrote fiction as a creative outlet through my teen years, moving to journalism in college. 

After graduating, I made a small but respectable name for myself in local reporting before moving on to a nonprofit where I traded the work I loved for a full-time paycheck and financial stability. I mostly stopped writing professionally in 2016 after having my son but did some freelance marketing work writing blog posts and press releases. 

In 2021 I returned to writing as a creative outlet and to freshen up my existing skills and work on new ones. Fiction is particularly challenging for me and everything I write is a glorified creative writing project. But if you like my work, I hope you'll follow me, interact with my content, and stick around.
