Do you ever feel like you make someone happy because you care, worry, and love them? And if they have a mental breakdown, they can tell you anything, but a part of them wants you to promise then that you wouldn't tell anyone about something? Just be there for them, promise them, care for them, worry about them, make them laugh, but also let them talk about what's going on in their head. If they run out of class and the teacher asked if they should or if you should go, you go. The person who ran out will trust you more than others. Always think about where they would go and go there. Say their name to make sure that they are there. They won't respond, but they will let out a sob. And if you recognize that sob its them. If a teacher, either a retired or still working there, tell them that the person is having a mental breakdown. They'll ask you two if you would want to go to the counseling room, if you're in the bathroom sitting on the floor. Go. Just in case someone were to walk in. Let them talk and put input where it's needed. You might miss a class, but it's worth it knowing that your friend is safe and alive. I know this from experience. It makes you feel special in that person's life. Even though you already felt special in that person's life.
