I admit it. I folded. I put Hunter Doohan's pretty mug (and abs) on the cover of my Wednesday fanfiction, hoping to appeal to the fanbase of the show. The cover change also comes along with a title change, as I had a vision of a new title that also ties into some lore later in the story. I hope this change hasn't confused any readers.
          
          It's still the same story, despite the ridiculously over-the-top cover. It's still the redemption of kicked puppy dog Tyler Galpin. He's been given a chance, but can he take it? Can the blackened heart of this Hyde once again flicker with emotion?
          
          Yes, this is shipper fanfiction. Yes, it's an exaggerated Monster High drama. But I love writing this story so much. It has healed my drained writer brain.

So... I wrote a thing. It's not what I was supposed to write, and it's not what feels most useful to write, but it's the story that made my brain most happy to write at the moment. It's fanfiction. It's overdramatic. It has a ridiculously long title. It's so damn fun to write.
          
          I apologize to any readers of my original stories. I promise I will get back to those once I get inspiration flowing again (which writing this story is helping me with).

I'm suffering a bit of writer's block lately, as I have too many projects I should write, but none of them stand out as The One at the moment. So I waffle between them without being able to focus on a single one. Hopefully, I can break out of this soon, though, and get working on something. (and if there is a particular story of mine you would like to read, please tell me and maybe that will spark some inspiration for me!)
          
          I did manage to write an entry for the Shortys, though, and I would be delighted if anyone checks it out! It's a bit different from my other stories (I may have binged too much Wednesday this weekend, and the dark tone of that seeped into the story), but I hope it still works!

Managed to cobble together and publish an entry for the What in the Wattpad (WITW) contest last night. "The Magic of Kissing" is based on the prompt of best friends being forced to marry and features a lot of kisses, some abuse of magic, and (naturally) a rampaging elephant. Prepare for mayhem and batshittery if you dive into this short story!

Happy Pride Month, again...
          
          I couldn't get the story of Hernan and the drag queen out of my mind after the last bonus chapter, so I kept writing! It turned into a whole novella, which I'm now starting to publish, with the aim of publishing at least one chapter daily until the end of the month. 
          
          Three chapters (including the chapter that was previously published as a bonus chapter for SLB) are available now!

          As is tradition at this point, I wrote a special bonus chapter for Sweet Little Birds in celebration of the month. This time, it's from a new and perhaps unexpected POV...

So I just did something. Something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I finally finished my GOT fanfiction epic The Stag and The Frog. But I didn't do it by finally finishing the third part of the trilogy but rather by realizing that the story I wanted to tell had already been told. The story concluded at the end of part 2, when Gendry reaches his destiny of becoming his father. Whatever happens after is another story.
          
          So I unpublished part 3 (which was unfinished), added an author's note to part 2 to explain, and then finally, published the epilogue I wrote years ago that concludes the whole story. I do still have some more scenes written and I may publish them as bonus chapters at some point, but for now, I feel satisfied with calling this the end and finally walking away from the story.
          
          Here is that epilogue I finally got to publish!!! It's set 60 years later and gives us a glimpse into the Westeros that came to be.

I forgot to make an announcement about this last night, but I finished my ONC novella! "Orcs, Tea, and Revolution" is now complete at about 25k words. While I'm not sure Fantasy is my genre to write, this was a fun diversion into orc culture, tea customs, and, of course, revolutionary spirit.

It's time for the 4th annual Pride Awards! This is an award focused on queer storytelling,  whether that entails queer themes or protagonists (or both!).
