Hi everyone out there, I'm Bri and while I fail at grammar I adore writing. I usually write what some might call Historical Fiction, but what I consider to be YA taking place in the past, usually in the decade of the 1950's(I just have a thing for the fifties you know?). Anyways I'm always doubting my writing, and wanted feedback on it, so I figured I try my luck here. I am currently working on one big novel, which is a sort of boring, and lagging coming of age novel that I consider scrapping almost every day. I hope that by posting some of my other works here, I'll stay inspired to write what I'll call, "the big one" or my novel.
While most of my work does take place in the fifties, I try to make it as relatable as possible while still making it historical. No Peggy-Sue and Johnny Angel going to the sock hop and saying 'gee this' and 'golly that' will be in any of my writing unless it's a parody of some sort. Teens of the past were no innocents, and they enjoyed a lot of the things us teens today do.
I should probably mention that I'm not a old lady by the way, I'm a high schooler who tends to dream about writing something good but always falls short. If anyone likes my story, or wants to talk or whatever(I'm a Newbie I don't know what you do here exactly, but I'm sure you can contact others) feel free to do so.
