Hey, this is Merope. I'm a college student in the US majoring in indecision. I love writing and have been writing since sixth grade (I'm not going to post any of those stories...just think Cinderella with elephants and fairies). I'm trying my hand at a couple of genres starting with fantasy and fiction but hope you all like it! Just a warning though all of these are a work in progress so names and chapters may change a bit (or a lot) before I finish. Feel free to write comments and message me if you have any suggestions or ideas you want me to try or if you want to just talk. And if you like the story...Please Vote! I love seeing that people like my writings.
For those of you wondering about the origins of my username, let's have a quick Greek mythology lesson. The Plieades are a group of stars also often called the Seven Sisters. According to Greek legend, they were the daughters of Atlas (one of the titans) and also handmaidens of Artemis. Each of the sisters has their own legend, but when Orion (such a player and a jerk!) chased after them relentlessly, they asked Zeus to turn them into stars to set them free. The "lost pliead" refers to the one star of the seven that isn't as bright as the others, making it hard to see without a telescope. There are many speculations as to which of the seven sisters it is, but I'll leave that up to you to decide.
