"- Chloe's POV -

"Hi, can I have, um.. A chocolate ice cream cone, please?" I asked the lady at Cold Stone.

          	"Of course, anything else?"

"No thank you." I replied quietly. Like every other employee, she tried to make conversation with me while she was scooping the ice cream.

"So how have you been?" The worker asked as she handed me my ice cream, knowing I was Sam's and Elena's friend. The kidnapping was all everyone talked about here, along with Elena's murder. Before she could say the price, I handed her a ten dollar bill.

"Keep the change, I really need to go." I said quickly before taking the ice cream and running out of the store. I hate to be seen crying in public, and now that crying is like an everyday thing, I sometimes need to just run out. I've been losing a lot of money lately, too. Because when I start to cry, I just take out a random bill and hope it's over the price needed, hand it to the cashier, and get out. Sometimes those bills happen to be fifty and one hundred dollar bills, too.

Every time someone sees me, they'll either send me a sympathetic look or talk to me, whether I know them or not. It gets annoying, to be honest, but a small part of me likes the attention. Like, I've been on TV numerous times in the past week! But I'd for sure give up this temporary fame to have Elena and Sam back, no doubt about it.

          	"Excuse me, miss?"

My thoughts were interrupted when someone tapped on my shoulder. Ugh, probably another TV reporter or just someone who happened to recognise me.

"Um, hi." I said awkwardly, looking up at the, might I say, attractive boy in front of me. Oh, who am I kidding? He's as hot as hot can get! He had gorgeous green eyes and his curly locks were to die for.

"Are you Chloe Sheppard?" The boy asked me. Holy shit, he has a British accent. Oh. My. God.

"Um.. Yeah, what can I do for you?" I questioned politely.

"You say 'um' a lot, don't you?" He asked, rai..." http://wattpad.com/story/4361335
