BREONNA TAYLOR’s birthday is today. she should have turned 27. but on march 13th, she was killed by sg. jonathon mattingly, brett hankinson, and myles cosgrov. these officers have STILL not been charged for her murder.

hey all, in these past few days i’ve been active on my tumblrs and my personal instagram and i didn’t think abt wattpad at all. but i realize that THIS is a platform to spread awareness, no matter how small or how little interactions, i do have a platform to communicate to people. if you haven’t already, sign petitions! donate to the memorial fund and to bail funds! educate yourself! i will have the links to these in my bio for you to check out, and i hope that you can spread and educate others around you. there is so much more information about the protests that comes by the hour, and all I can ask is that you do your research. 
          
          don’t take what the media gives you as the only source of information, because as we’ve seen in videos from protesters, cops at these peaceful protests are MAKING it violent and white supremacists are hijacking these events, so please be careful of you do attend. there’s even news of gun rallies being disguised as blm protests, so PLEASE be careful.
          
          to any and all of my black followers: first and foremost please take care of yourself, mentally and physically. this blog is a safe space and my inbox is always open. i stand with you, i hear you, i am here for you <3
          
          and to anyone who is a nonblack poc or a white person, please be respectful and know your privilege. we spread awareness because it is our duty, we do not deserve praise. we must stand with our black brothers and sisters, always.
