Hello, I am Mildrianne D. Pelicano. You can call me Mildy. My username is a combination of how other people mispronounced my name. However, the correct way to say it is Mil-dree-yan. There are many things I identify with: a Filipino, a Bisaya, and a Catholic. But the core of it all is I want to be known for the love I have for Jesus. It is my desire to follow Him and walk in the narrow path as long as I live.

I created my Wattpad account years ago, back when I was in junior high school. This is the platform where I developed my love for reading. Now that I am growing spiritually in my Catholic faith, I looked back in this particular experience with a mix of nostalgia and dismay. While I acknowledge that reading had transported me in different worlds of ideas and human conditions, it also introduced me to a distorted worldview of love.

Like most of you, I had read novels that highlighted romance as an epitome of unconditional love. Some of these normalized premarital sex, lust, blasphemy, and individualistic 'me-first' culture instead of putting God first. The large number of liberal ideals are layered into these stories that prod to reduce and eliminate the essence of giving importance to mirror Jesus in His Holy ways as a TRUE INCARNATION OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

I am guilty for these conscious acts of mind corruption and repented them through confession. I felt like I wasted my time consuming these kind of books instead of reading the ones that will help me fortify my relationship with Him. As someone who is transformed by the love of Jesus, creating stories here on Wattpad is my way of telling you that it is not too late to go back to Him. You are not a hopeless case. The same Jesus who looked Barabbas with eyes overflowing of love and mercy is the same Jesus who is looking at you right now with the same intensity, waiting for you with open arms.
