Michael Dattoli has acted as the lead investigator for a number of cancer and radiation treatment research projects. He has a long list of publications in brachytherapy, cancer, radiation, and urology. He has co-authored or contributed to more than 50 scientific journal papers and peer-reviewed publications on prostate brachytherapy.

Dattoli has contributed to over 75 articles on cancer alone and served on editorial review boards for medical journals as a result of his globally recognized expertise. He frequently presents his findings to peers at state, national, and worldwide level talks, conferences, and symposia.
