he wanders to an empty classroom where he sees the Mirror of Erised again. Minerva McGonagall (who is married to Marvolo in secret and lived with him and the rest of the true Inner Circle (from 'The Life and Lies' - save for Augustus who died in that book, Delphi who disappeared in some unknown timeline after playing too much with her Time Turner and Barty who died two years ago like in canon) in Riddle Manor) is in that classroom too, looking at the mirror, and when she turns around she calls him Hadrian by instinct (she knows about the memory lock, and therefore calls him by his fake name despite knowng the truth bc it might cause his mindscape to explode) and it triggers all the memories that were locked until now. because Severus and Hadrian are connected by blood and magic, his mind lock gets removed too when Hadrian's does
the lightning scar is actually Sowilo, the sun rune, a gift from the Inner Circle to the newborn child. it was crafted by Lucius and all members of the Inner Circle channelled some of their magic into it. all next-gen Inner Circle members (Draco, Hadrian, Nymphadora and Cora's 3 kids (I did end up shipping her with Rabastan despite the age gap...they were just too cute lol)) have those on their foreheads for protection and aid in reaching their mindscape and magical core better but once the 'Boy-Who-Lived' became a thing they all started glamouring their scars.
so, the question is...they're going to do the epic battle that's going to be in the end of The Life and Lies (but because it's slightly AU, it didn't happen in the end) and the next-gen members will also want to fight. what do u say, should Sev and Lily let Hadrian fight or not? (I mean, they're supposed to be super protective of him after all that shit...)

I'm writing a fic in the same universe as The Legend of Medusa and The Life and Lies, it's slightly AU, Golden Trio era and called The Fall of Zeus (Zeus=Dumblewhore ofc)
so, in that fic, that night in Godric's Hollow Voldemort (aka Marvolo) came to kill only one person - James Potter, who Lily and her son Hadrian Augustus Snape-Prince (fake name Harry James Potter) were forced to live with by Dumbledore. he kiled James Potter but there was an accident, leading to him losing his body and 'Harry' (Hadrian, nicknamed Hades) becoming a Horcrux - which ended up being for the best because the piece of Marvolo's Obscurus inside him and his own Obscurus developed from the Dursleys' treatment of him clashed and 'killed' each other, leaving him magically healthy save for a memory lock Dumbledore placed on him and on Severus before Lily managed to Obliviate Dumblewhore, erasing the memories of what he saw in their minds and saving herself from a memory lock too. because Hadrian did have an Obscurus inside him, though, he has charred areas in his mindscape like all Obscurials in development. during his sixth year at Hogwarts, instead of the Prince's book, he takes a Potions textbook belonging to L.J.E. (Lily Josephine Evans) in which both she and Severus wrote things to each other and Sev wrote his improved recipes in there too for Lily, so 'Harry' still has that advantage.

I think Jews and Christians kinda have different ways of looking at that song
we have this..Idk how to call it so I'll just call it a hymn that we say during New Year and Yom Kippur - basically the holiest days of the year. it's called 'Veratzita Shevach' (literally translated to 'and You wanted praise'. it's all about how the angels are perfect and we are flawed and they're so much better than us but still G-d wanted us to praise Him, not the angels. it's about how G-d chose us, humans, over His perfect angels, and loves us despite and even because of our flaws. when I listened to 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen for the first time I was instantly reminded of that hymn. it's like Leonard was trying to 'translate' that hymn into words everyone would understand and relate to.
(Idk if u realized..but that song isn't only about David, there's also a reference to Samson (the line 'she cut your hair'))
David really had the life Leonard was trying to portray in that song - he had his ups and downs and but through it all he was very close to G-d and never afraid of writing even about his less photogenic moments. that song, in my eyes at least, means that even though we all have our flaws and aren't even close to perfection - that's exactly how it's supposed to be, and G-d loves our simple honesty more than lives wasted in attempts to achieve perfection.
