blood transfusion; henry's blood type is o+, which makes him the universal blood donor for everyone, so when they gave henry's blood to eighteen pregnant women - it went smoothly and those eighteen kids gained henry's dna and powers. henry seems to be incapable of controlling anyone who has his blood in them
pump. seen on will byers, henry pumped his blood into will, giving will his powers but giving henry stronger access to his mind and using him as a vessel. every night that will slept, it helped to make tunnels in the ground for the upside down to use. henry seems to be able to control anyone that gained powers through this way

henry has charmed his way into flings though with a few nurses and even theresa ives before she tried to rescue jane. terry and the nurses meant nothing to henry unlike patty.
henry doesn't ' love ', he either keeps you around because you hold a use to him so you think he does love you ( which he doesn't ), or he obsesses, he holds quite a passion for patty newby, the only girl to ever hold his heart even if he never sees her again, she may be dead, she may have fled the country, henry doesn't know
