Is there such a thing as reading too much?

I love reading, and I do it often. I tend to enjoy the darker side of things a bit more, which is a theme for my whole life. I enjoy stories that deal with the human condition, the bright and dark spots of life, and the breaking down and rebuilding again.

I can sometimes be very particular with the stories I choose to read because I do value well-written stories, and I tend to have an sharp eye for grammar and syntax and consistent imagery (although I will never comment negatively if something is missing or not my style). I'm also considered a "silent reader" because, although I will consistently vote on every chapter for a book I enjoy, I will rarely ever comment.

As for my writing, I do write as well. It's mostly in the form of poetry, although I do write short little blurbs on my random spiritual experiences or the ramblings from my introspective and existential mind; however, I'm a very private person and there's been maybe two people in my whole life with whom I've shared my work, so realistically my words will never make their way here.

If you want to follow, I'll most likely follow back. And if you have any suggestions on new books based on the ones I've read, then feel free to send them my way.
