A month passed in a jiffy. Right now, I was standing infront of my supposedly new tuitions, wearing a t-shirt with the tuition's name on it. Everything was suddenly overwhelming.
"Bye bacha, I'll come to pick you up at 7 okay?" Papa said, to which I nodded.
After he left, I made my way into the building and pressed the button for one of the elevators.
It reached the ground floor, and without stopping, went to the basement.
Areyy!
I went and pressed the button for the second elevator.
It did the same.
So, instead of taking the stairs like any normal person, I begrudgingly went to the basement, to catch the lift. Because how dare it refuse me?
The basement was dark, only a few lights on. The rest were either completely off, or flickering. This could be a potential crime site. Pushing these thoughts aside, I made my way towards the lift.
Both the lifts were still stuck at the basement, as if I don't know which mahaan hasti was going to grace them with their presence.
Rolling my eyes, I got onto the lift and pressed the button for the fourth floor. Just as the door was about to close, one man entered the lift. Not just any man. A weirdly dangerous looking man. He had gutka on his teeth, and had red eyes. He was wearing just a white undershirt and some shorts. And he was barefoot, his hands were tightly fisted.

Halfway into the lecture, I was comprehending every single thing perfectly. So explaining the concept of reflection and teaching us about the lens formula, she gave us one question to solve.
"Chalo, as it is the first question of your first class, whoever will solve this correctly in the least time, usko meri taraf se chocolate."
"Mam kaunsi?" One girl asked.
"Whichever you want."
Everyone started solving. Many students raised their hands, however, none of them got the answer right.
Then, I got my answer. It was different from what others were saying. So I pondered over whether should I say it or not.
Then Yamika looked at me and asked,
"Answer aagya?"
"I don't know if it's right."
"No one knows what's the answer. If you have solved than tell mam. Chocolate milegi!" She nudged me.
I nodded weakly, still thinking.
"Mam, Sharvanya ka aaya hai." She said out loud.
Ye ladki-
"Oh, Bolo beta"
"Umm, magnification can be +3 or -3, so according to that, the object distance will be +40 cm or -20 cm." I gathered courage and spoke.
"Correct. Very good. Class ke baad batana kaunsi chocolate chahiye." She said with a smile, which I reciprocated.
"Dekha, bolna padta hai. But don't worry. Mere sath rahogi, seekh jaogi." Yamika said with a grin.
Maybe this wasn't as bad as I thought, after all.

After the class, it was break time. The next was Physics. Some students went out of the class to wander, some started eating.
"To, mai chalu karu?" Yamika, or apparently Yam, looked at me expectantly.
"Kya?"
"Sab batana. Kaun kaisa hai, so you know ki kiske saath reh sakte hai, kiske saath nahi."
"Okay."
"Not here. Koi sun lega to bawal hojayga. Bahar chalte hai, ghoomte ghoomte batati hu."
I looked at her weirdly. We just met barely an hour and a half ago, and she was acting like we were long lost best friends.
"Arey, what are you looking at? Chalo!" She urged me to get up. Not having the energy to argue with her, I gave in and we headed out of the class.
Once we were outside, she started speaking as it was her last time. She gave me so much gossip about random people I didn't even know the faces of. But weirdly, I found myself hooked and hearing every detail intently.
Pulkit was in a relationship with Aadhya. But he was also flirting with Jivika. Mehek had a crush on Pulkit, but he ghosted her. Laksh formerly liked Aadhya, but right now he was talking to Mehek. Strangely, in the process of getting rejected by their respective crushes, they developed a liking for.... each other.
Aaj ke liye itni bakwas kaafi hai.
Soon, we were called inside for our physics lecture. As we sat inside, entered the same mam who had shown me the way to the class. She seems sweet.

Please someone bury me inside this earth.
I kept my head down, too self-conscious to look up and see everyone else staring at me like I was some kind of joke.
"Acha bolo, kya samajh nahi aaya?" His voice kind-of softens.
"Kuch samajh nahi aaya." My voice was barely a whisper. I was surprised that it was loud enough to reach him.
"Kuch samajh nahi aaya? No problem. It's your first time, it can happen. Mai wapas samjhata hu." He said with a smile and elucidated everything again, occasionally asking me questions to see if I grasped the concept.
This time, I did understand everything, and solved almost every question except a few.
Lastly, he addressed me and said,
"Aur Sharvanya, you don't need to care about being embarrassed. All of these people looking at you, wo bhi koi vidhvaan nahi hai. The moment you stop being embarrassed and start asking questions, then you will really start learning."
