ok i'm back temporarily just bc there are a few things i need to set straight (or like... not. hahah).
i stopped watching the 100 bc i got sidetracked & then tired of it. but i know what happened in the last episode, and i'm here to explain why ppl SHOULD be mad abt this.
(i rly hope this doesnt come off as passive aggressive which, okay, it kind of is, but also it's an important thing a lot of ppl should know [& i just. dont have the energy to interact which anyone directly rn im sorry])
okay. for years and years and YEARS, lesbians & wlw have been killed off. for no reason.
from what i've seen of the episode, lexa got shot almost immediately after a sex scene with another woman (clarke). this is a trope that has been used again and again, and it's not a nice one. the fact is, there is a grand total of like. 3 stories in popular culture in which the women end up HAPPY and TOGETHER, and this propagates a really not very nice message that women cannot be together and happy, or at least not for very long.
i don't care if u dont like lexa. i dont care if u dont like clarke. i dont care if u dont like clexa. everyone should be angry or at least slightly bothered by this. everyone should support wlw, no matter how straight u are. if u consider urself an """"""ally""", please please please care about this.
fans are extremely justified in their anger at jroth. this was a homophobic move with a pathetic excuse. that's all there is to it.
i wish this was a well-structured message but it rly isn't. i've said what i felt the need to say. (who am i kidding i have so much more to say abt this but i cant get it down in words atm) if u dont agree, well, i cant do anything abt that.
