I was thinking about the religious implications of adminhood but hesitated after realizing the "figurehead" 2x2 will eventually join forsaken and mess up my interpretation. But here it goes.
I consider the admins to be similiar to demigods. They're normal Robloxians appointed by The Alpha Brick (aka 2x2) to enact justice after 2x2's physical form weakened from centuries of overexertion. Ascending these mortals into essentially godhood by granting them an admin panel and commands "only to be used in emergencies" (which some admins ignore...) to protect Roblox in its place. 2x2 created a few beings almost as powerful as itself as the original admins, but let's say something went horribly wrong. Causing 2x2 to turn to mortals for help, after all, they'd be easier to control, unlike... that one.
I hadn't even considered myths in this instance. Cryptids are a lovely way of putting it. It depends on the myth, really. Sometimes it's just your average Jo(hn Do)e just trying to work his office job amidst nasty public rumors. Other times, it's the eldritch being that descended into something worse than godhood after stealing something that wasn't his.
Once a Robloxian is gifted admin status, they understand code; it's like their version of molecules. They can mold the world around them in their image, which is typically whatever 2x2 wants. I know nothing about science, so this is just me bullshiting.
The Alpha Brick doesn't want anything too severe, so it blocks certain commands from its users.
Some hackers make deals with certain shady "people". Others somehow crack the code themselves. A boy steals his father's device. Hackers come in all different shapes and sizes. Within a religious lens, they'd be frauds who tried to steal godhood. Some repent. Some fall deeper in sin.
