Ugh, my mom is always talking about how she wants me to open up and talk about what I like, but whenever I try she just looks at me like I’m weird and starts talking about herself, then gets upset because the next time because I don’t like talking about my interests with her. If someone knows how to help please tell me, idk what to do with her. Just because she doesn’t like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson doesn’t mean she can just blow me off and not even attempt to act like she cares, right???

Sometimes I really dislike my family. Today on the bus ride home I was trying to tell my little sister how the Percy Jackson books were way better than the movies. She acted like I was getting somewhere but when I asked her if she agreed with me then she just said ‘‘ehh’’,like she didn’t really care. My whole family is like this and think the movies are better even though they never read the books. I try to tell them but they just don’t understand and they think I am weird cause I don’t like the movies at all. I am the only one in my family that actually enjoys Percy Jackson and not whatever the movies are, I can’t even find a name for them because they are unworthy to be called the Percy Jackson movies

Ikr??? I try to ignore it but whenever I start talking about things from the books it’s super annoying when they don’t understand. My siblings don’t even know what the ships are, which is probably one of the saddest things I’ve ever heard of

The Percy Jackson movies were disgraceful, ignore your family mine is the same way. Some people just don’t enjoy good literature.
