We never focus on the present. The past overshadows it with nightmarish flashbacks of our mistakes. We lay awake at night thinking of all we have done wrong. Our only escape of the cold reality is our hope for a better future. The present is merely a stage of life we overlook. We rarely focus on what we have currently, and rather plan according to the future or the past. Correcting mistakes from the past or improving for a better future. And sometimes we are haunted by the past... overwhelmed by the future. 

And in those moments, we need to learn how to take a step back, and appreciate what we have in the present.
