Some time ago, I helped create a gritty realism theatre company that dealt with social issues and is continuing to do great work. I also helped in a script night various times, where I would act in some short plays, and I once acted in a comedy sketch for a friend. I also helped write a play, and played the main role. I like many subjects and try to incorporate a range of different styles, which can be pretty polarising when I compare my work to each other, but it depends on wherever my heart and mind is or wants to be for what I write, and time, circumstances etc. I like writers like Oscar Wilde, Haruki Murakami, Stephen King, Thomas Pynchon, HP Lovecraft, George RR Martin, George Orwell, Neil Gaiman, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Raymond Carver, Douglas Adams, Alduous Huxley, Arthur Conan Doyle and more. One of my  favourite movies is based on a book by Thomas Pynchon, called Inherent Vice, a hippy stoner detective with an obsession for a case involving an old girlfriend, that gets him embroiled in many gangs, the police, a syndicate of dentists, and more. One of my favourite books is 1Q84. A story about a parallel world, romance, supernatural beings called the little people, a god like leader of a religious organisation, and a woman who discreetly kills men who abuse their wives for a dowager, and much more... though, Harry Potter had one of the biggest impacts on my life as a boy, and what seems to be even now. I also revere comics/graphic novels.  Maybe though, this quote may explain things better "When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live." - HP Lovecraft.
