Chapter 2 of my Review Collection is here!
Better Together by @anamika_writes came into my life at the perfect time—right when I was navigating a huge shift: moving from school to college, in a brand-new city. It wasn’t easy. Fitting in, making new friends, just finding my footing—it all felt like a bit too much at times. On nights I felt a little too alone, this story kept me company. It made me smile.
Ruhaani became my lady love. And Aadarsh? I’ll be honest—I had serious reservations about that man in the beginning (let’s call it “strong emotional resistance” ). But oh, the character development? Chef’s kiss.
Truthfully, I didn’t even know what a proper slow burn felt like until this book. This was my first—and what a way to be introduced.
Yes, the ending gets bittersweet. Everything comes to a head, and Anamika ventures into a whole new genre—and while it might catch you off guard, the romance, the emotional payoff, it’s all still very much there.
A tiny note though: if you dive into the comment section during the later chapters… be prepared. It gets intense. Lots of strong opinions, especially around Aadarsh and Abhi. I’d just say—read the story with an open heart. These characters are meant to be grey. Messy. Real. And that’s what makes them memorable.
All in all, Better Together is a heartfelt mix of genres—domestic drama, slow-burn romance, family fiction, and a sprinkle of suspense. It’s warm, complex, a little chaotic, and very worth your time.
So do check it out—especially if you’ve ever craved a story that holds your hand on the hard days.
