If you loved Akshaye Khanna Shouryaman Gaur from Ikka, this story reimagines a courtroom where monsters wear tailored suits, queens never reveal their next move, and every verdict comes at a price. If intense rivalries, sharp dialogue, and unpredictable twists are your thing, give it a read i’m sure you will enjoy it.

okay guys i have some confusing IKKA plotholes
Some of the plot holes genuinely took me out of the movie.

          • Why exactly was Shaurya disbarred from practicing law?
The film keeps mentioning it like it's a huge part of his past, but never actually explains what happened. It feels like an important detail that was simply skipped.

          • Shaurya's relationship with Gauri is all over the place.
One moment she seems completely unfazed by his confession, the next she's devastated when the same thing comes up in court. Their dynamic is confusing because the film never properly establishes where they stand. Where they in an open marriage?

          • The film keeps hinting at a deeper rivalry between Arjun and Shaurya, but where's the backstory? They throw around heavy dialogues that suggest years of history, yet we're barely shown anything that earns those emotional moments.

honestly, it just feels like they're trying to portrait too much depth, but to show this amount of depth, you have to show equal amount of back story. Yes, we did see some of Shaurya's back story of why he felt that he wanted to win this case because he didn't want to disappoint his father, but then again it's not enough. Every scene wants to portray so much more than it actually is but for that to happen, there must be a story buildup, which we just cannot grip on too

@author_aaru08 honestly, the movie could’ve been much better, but i watched it mainly for akshaye. if you’re a big akshaye fan like i am, you’ll probably still enjoy it specifically enjoy watching him , you can easily skip the scenes that feel unnecessary. tbh, akshaye is who is usually an acting chameleon, in this film he somehow reminded me of rehman. so yeah , but yes do watch it for him

Hello guys, has everyone watched Ikka yet???

I finally watched it, and let’s be honest, I only watched it for Akshaye Khanna. Ever since Chhaava and Dhurandhar, I’ve been obsessed, so there was no way I was missing this.

And as expected, he didn’t disappoint. He’s genuinely one of those actors who can command your attention without even trying. Every expression, every dialogue, every scene was so effortless. Also, he’s just so handsome.

Sunny Deol was great too. The performances were never the problem.

My issue was the film itself.

This had so much potential. With a cast like this, I expected a gripping courtroom thriller, but the courtroom drama felt surprisingly weak. The story never became as engaging as it should have, and the writing didn’t do justice to the characters.

I also wish Akshaye’s character had been written with more depth. It felt like the script leaned too much into making him seem darker instead of exploring all the layers his character could have had.

The ending wasn’t bad. In fact, it was better than the rest of the film. But even then, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much better the movie could have been with stronger writing.

Overall, I don’t regret watching Ikka because, well, Akshaye Khanna. But considering the cast and the potential, this film could have been so much more. If you’re an Akshaye fan, you’ll definitely enjoy his performance, but the movie itself left me wanting a lot more.

@kat_ivory honestly I get it, and genuinely it feels really hard to romanticise his character. There’s nothing romantic about it, except for the fact that he is Akshaye but I think they failed to portray a true Morally grey character is , like it was all to black

I totally agree with you!!
Infact I was just about to post about this. The cast was absolute banger. I do feel that the character played by Sunny Deol was cut out exactly for him—to play the same guy from Damini. Sunny is a great actor but expecting an
age old performance from him for this generation wasn’t really setting the right track.

The plot twists, especially the one about the whole love triangle between Sunny, Diya and Akshaye was kind of unnecessary in a courtroom film.

Akshaye’s character Shouryaman could’ve been portrayed better cause I know for a fact his performance would never miss. Maybe it was that wicked intensity of his that has temporarily unsettled me.

I’m going to go back to writing my story to feel better now

@ohmygoddt it was mid for me and a big slow but im so not over dhurandhar T-T. it's hard to romanticise shouryamann with the kind of lover he is in the film but akshaye khanna ate. I can't wait for his edits to come out ❤️

Did all of you see the trailer for ikka? Akshaye is so fucking hot and man is out here burning everyone while serving nothing, but good looks such a hottie man

mitaaaliraaaj

@ohmygoddt Akshaye definitely is serving but yaar movie mein dam nahi lag rha trailer dekh kar hi. Everyone else's acting looks so forced and random. It just comes across as yet another court drama.

I don’t usually write notes like this, but I wanted to be honest with you all.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a little demotivated.

Every chapter I upload takes hours of planning, writing, editing, and rewriting. Most of my chapters are thousands of words long, and I genuinely put so much love and effort into them because I want to give you the best story possible.

That’s why it hurts a little when a chapter has double or even triple the number of readers compared to votes, yet only ends up with around 8–12 votes.

I’m grateful for every single person who reads my work, truly. But as a writer, votes and comments are one of the only ways I know whether people are enjoying the story. When the engagement is very low, it can sometimes feel like all that effort disappeared into the void.

Because of that, I won’t be uploading today. The next chapter will be uploaded tomorrow instead.

This isn’t meant to make anyone feel guilty. I just wanted to be honest about how I’ve been feeling.

If you’re enjoying the story, please consider voting on the chapters you read. It takes only a second, and it genuinely means more to writers than you might realize.

@ohmygoddt Hey! I'm a new reader (literally just started reading your book, "The Rival's Widow"), and I just want to express how grateful I feel to have found your book!! I've been scrolling through Tumblr these past few days trying to find new Dhurandhar fanfics, but it seems I've read most if not all of the stories on Dhurandhar on the app lol. But that's besides the point, I am really enjoying your story, and I hope (and I have feeling it will) it gets the engagement and votes it deserves! :)
