Hello people!!! I love reading different genres such as, fantasy, sci-fi and historical fiction. When I'm not reading I like to think up ideas for books, but never write them. Below is the poem "Invictus" by William Ernest Henley, which is perhaps my favourite piece of literature.
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
When you carry a Bible, the devil gets a headache. When you open it, he collapses. When he sees you reading it, he faints. When he sees you living it, he flees. And just when you're about to re-post this, he will try and discourage you. I just defeated him. 96% won't stand up for God. Put this in your profile if you're one of the 4% that will.
