As I come greet you after all this time, I'm afraid of not being recognised... Not because I identify myself with what I used to be, but because I'd like to hold onto the love you all have given me for so long.
          
          For those of you who cannot remember, hi, you used to know me as Jhalak or "dustychalks" for the longest time. And here I am now, with a new identity, a new purpose, a new username.
          
          Brushing off the past like dusty chalks on slate,
          I whisper farewell to a name that no longer echoes.
          
          Leaving behind rooms where our memories wait,
          unsaid stories resting deep in shadows.
          
          I walk towards the stars to rewrite my fate,
          Stitching wild dreams into my own bright meadows.
          
          Drifting off the night like a twinkle of light,
          A quiet glow hints at the dark where lost wishes go.
          
          All that’s outgrown fading softly from sight,
          New paths await where uncharted dreams grow.
          
          On a wishing star I sail as hopes ignite,
          Creating my own fate, letting my true self show.
          
          Sometimes, we don't realise how our best memories in life may hold us back from stepping into new realms & unknown territories, even if just an inch away from our comfort zones. For me, @ dustychalks was one such amazing phase of life where I created stories, made a lot of new friends, crossed paths with you all & reached new milestones. But there always comes a time when in order to reach a new place, you have to say goodbye and move out of the old one. As life keeps throwing plot twists and curveballs my way, I want to remind myself & all of you through my new username that no matter what, you're always in control of your own destiny -
