how do you comfort someone who's grieving? i'm not joking around here, my best friend just lost her grandparent and i want to help, so suggestions are welcome.

@owllover22161 well when dealing with my grandfather because his wife died, I try to distract him from more damaging thoughts. Of course it's common sense not to bring up the subject. But if it happened recently, you won't have to bring it up because it will already be occupying her thoughts. So take the things she enjoys and talk with her. Try your best to make her happy with a casual air, like taking a walk or watching a show. Make it like it was a normal day, filled to the brim with hugs.
