// y'all I don't think my theatre professor liked me rambling. like in the play this one character references a lot of mythology stuff like Zeus mainly , Hercules, and freya ( which is a Norse goddess ) . there's a line this character says that is like " by Jupiter's beard ... " and someone asked the professor what that line means or references cause there's like a lot of jokes in this play that we don't even get. I spoke up saying that it could just be referencing Zeus again , but as his Roman equivalent - jupiter. the professor looked at me and said " you probably are right, BUT I don't think there is any actual meaning to that line." sobbing rn. just tell to shut up and I'm a nerd
