Early update! Chapter 31 is live: We get a conversation between Clarice and Maelor today that gives us a much closer look at Caelen’s relationship with his soldiers.

          A quick note: You’ve probably noticed the chapters have been shorter lately. I’ve found that this pace is much better for preventing the burnout I’ve struggled with in the past—there were a few times I almost quit the story entirely! Keeping them concise is actually allowing me to write better quality content. To be honest, I’m much more proud of these recent chapters than the earlier ones in the story.

Hey everyone!  quick update: the next chapter will be a little late. I wasn’t feeling well last week and just traveled back to Germany after two months with family, so I’m a bit drained and adjusting to the time difference.
          
          I’m aiming for the weekend, and I’ll try to post sooner if I can.
