There was actually no need to give sad ending to Patralekha's story....it was going so good for 100+ chapters, what did you accomplish by spoiling it in last 3-4 chapters?

Why couldn't be there happily ever after to entire family?

Fenrii

@perfecto99 yeah but this is a fictional story, its reality is what its author makes it.

The point isn't even that you killed him off, the point is, I can't even understand why? I mean, what his death even contributed to the plot? Nothing. Story ended in 3 chapters, and Pakhi is living a widowed life for??

I understand we have to accept the reality, but we come to fictional stories to escape the sorrows of the real life for sometime. What's the use of coming to them if you get a heartbreak even there??

I am not opposed to a death of a character in a story, but to me at least, it should serve some purpose. And I saw no purpose behind his death. Even the impact of his death on Pakhi's life mostly happened offscreen.

@Fenrii Life is just like this.I know it is hard to accept sadness but life move on.We had to accept reality and be accountable for the present.

Instead of killing Divya, you could have put him in coma for 10 years if you wanted to show Pakhi struggling alone without him. And then revived him before ending the story.
I really liked that story of their love, but the ending spoiled the whole experience for me..
