My parents taught me how to read at an early age, and they encouraged an active imagination in me. Combining those two elements, it was almost inevitable that I would become a writer. I mainly wrote just for fun here and there until one day, when I was a senior in high school, my English teacher read one of my short stories aloud to the whole class. When he was finished, one of my fellow students asked, "Why can't we ever read stories like that in our literature book?" and he responded, "I think one day you will."
In addition to writing stories, I also love writing music. In fact, I wanted to be a sound track composer when I graduated high school. Which is why when I went to college I majored in...computer science?! WTF, dude?
Apparently I make bad decisions in life. Returning to writing was not one of them though. In fact, I now know that I am most complete when I am creating something, and I am best at creating worlds out of words.
