Hiiiiii I wanted to say how much I appreciate and Devil's Due. It's been an anchor of light, solace, comfort, and hope including through my darkest moments. I've yet to find something that compares to it (as if that even exists). In part that is because I have taken a break from looking for other books or ff because 1. I already have found this magical, wondrous gem and 2. I'm extremely unhealthy, and obsessive with my interests, so I have no balance and IT CONSUMES ME. Much like I have allowed your magnificent tale to do to me. I welcomed it into my heart and mind where it resides always and forever. As I've read the chapters over and over and know them better than I know my own life sometimes. I wanted to say how proud I am of you for persevering and continuing with it and being active with it. That's not an easy feat at all. I recognize that. Especially when you feel the weight of people anticipating or bugging for updates. Even if out of genuine love, care and want. I wanted to assure that I totally understand when you take breaks from it, and don't update as frequently. There is always a warm embrace waiting for you on the other side when you return. Even if you feel like you can't finish it, I will understand. You owe us nothing! Don't feel pressured or overwhelmed by any of it. Life is way too heavy and complex and vile. Feel joyous for the supreme love you have brought into so many people's lives. As that's what I will be bubbling about and fermenting in myself. Your characters, your story are a piece of me endlessly. I am thankful for you. I am appreciative of you. I am proud of you! Anyways my words will never be precise enough to represent the magnitude of pure stardust you've brought into this world. The same stardust that will carry into each of your readers collective stardusts. Our essence, our memories, our love- the only thing we can bring as we fade into the next life/the end of this one.

Reading comments that are from a few years ago and even recent about the fanart of river that are soso hateful is genuinely off putting as someone who has tan skin and curly hair exactly like that drawing.. the fact that woc can’t be viewed as main characters in romance is so strange to me? Like wdym you’re picturing Sydney Sweeney bc that depiction is too ugly for u, why is it ugly to u? Brings up the same question of why was Taylor r so badly hated by some of our fandom when she is a lovely person? Idk and ik im not to woke it was straight up disheartening seeing those comments from so recent

I agree it's so disgusting and disheartening. Not only when Harry has been so vocal about tpwk, blm, and inclusion. All though the white man definitely could say more and use his platform and power more. It's also just horrific because there's no excuse it's not difficult to not be racist, colorist and hateful. Why people would call tan or dark skin or curly hair ugly or woc is just heartbreaking. The only thing that's ugly are those people's hearts. I agree it's sad to see Taylor being talked about the way that she was. Especially when we had weirdo white woman feminist Olivia Wilde with him and she wasn't treated in that way? Taylor seems to be lovely, she's an amazing artist, and completely unproblematic unlike cough cough. Not to pit women against each other but I do think it's fair to mention when they represent an issue far greater than that. The white audacity is crazy. I wish Harry would speak to it more. It's not that hard. Like why people why be better be good To say that about Riv too breaks my heart and to say they see her as Sydney Sweeney just says they don't understand the character or the book at all. I agree the whole woc can't be main characters in romance unless it's two poc is just wrong.
