          Atlas is part deer,and part flayer.Meaning,he has some DNA of the mind flayer in him,giving him some of the mind flayer’s abilities.Also,he can shapeshift,from a human to a normal deer.Aside from him being part deer-part flayer,half of his DNA is human,making him sentient and more human-like than deer-like (Which is why I based him off Alastor wink wink nudge nudge)]
