I know! I do get how gina amd ricky have development. In the first season it seemes like she was into ricky just to piss off nini, kind of like troy and sharpay. Then she realized what a great guy he is and seped  away because he wanted nini. That scene after the rini kiss in the finale, where suddenly she is crying over him? I never understood that

            i can bet you that i would have loved rina as much as portwell if they would have at least given a chance to portwell in the first place. it IS forced, according to me. all the people who have been going around saying that they have been building rina since season 1, then no. gina was into ricky, yes, in season 1. in season 2, she started to get over ricky and really liked ej. like really really liked ej. a thing that i also noticed was that in season 1 and a part of season 2 in which she was crushing on ricky, most of the time, literally most of the time, she was sad and upset because ricky was with nini or was planning to get with nini and never really looked at her that away, it was always a one sided thing and she got her heart broken like several times even though they weren't together, whereas with her and ej, both of them liked each other and were so happy ang giggly and goofy around each other. it was like both of them were bringing out the best in each other. suddenly, ricky is single again, with no nini and no lily and hey, there's gina, why not let them both get together? 
            they should've at least given portwell a fair and square chance. them breaking would make so much more sense, if ej suppose went to that caswell school of success and it was too hard for both of them to handle long distnace and bam! they break up and there's ricky to console her, like that would make so much more sense than just breaking them up without any solid reason so that we can have ricky have a girlfriend again. its just really really messed up.
