          "Your mother," I repeated. "I held her captive for a week...ish."
          
          Her eyes widened further. "What do you mean?" she demanded, the words tripping over each other. "Are you kidding, Nathan? Because that's not funny—wha...what the hell—"
          
          "She is fine, by the way," I added to assure her, "I mean, I didn't hurt her...much, and I let her go, even hand-delivered her back to her home, safe, sound, breathing, and...maybe mildly annoyed," I shrugged lightly, "I even sent her chocolates and a thank-you note."
          
          "For cooperating," I clarified. "She gave me one of the things I wanted, and I'm big on manners."

I might be an awesome person and update again tonight, because the next chapter is halfway done. Here is a little teaser while at it: 
          
          "So, this was us...unbreaking up, I guess," I mumbled. 
          
          He nodded, "Correct," His lips twitched once more, "and as a celebration, we should definitely have thank god we are back together sex." 
          
          A low chuckle vibrated from my throat, "How does everything somehow end in sex with you?"
          
          "I'm consistent," he said. "It's one of my better qualities."
          
          "You mean one of your most concerning ones," I pointed out. 
          
          "Semantics." He clicked his tongue, then rested his palm against the door right beside my head, boxing me in. He leaned closer, his eyes darkening as he slipped back into the version of himself he wore like second skin, "So, are you gonna let me make it up to you the way I prefer?"
          
          
          
          Also, there will be an *ahem* scene with a trigger warning of sorts xD

Today I realized I’ve gotten old. How, you might ask, well, we had an office Christmas party last night, and now everywhere is sore, my throat aches, my ears are ringing, my head feels like it’ll explode…i am old *breaks into tears and sobs* 
          
          
          Anyways, i am taking today to reset and will get into writing tomorrow, here is a teaser for now:
          
          “Do you have a girlfriend?” I asked. 
          
          Little Nathan raised his eyebrow, so I shrugged, “or a boyfriend? I mean I don’t judge.” 
          
          He sighed in annoyance and looked away from me. My eyebrows pulled closer in genuine worry, “you’ve had sex, right?” I asked, my hand on his shoulder, “I don’t need to worry about you being a virgin at college, do I?” 
          
          He shot me a glare and moved away from me. “I am not discussing my sex life with you.” 
          
          I smiled, “Oh, so you admit you have a sex life.”

          You know, the basics, just Nathan being his toxic unhinged self :) 
          
          
          "Tell me who's after you."
          
          She shook her head, still refusing to speak, her terrified eyes tracing the blood dripping down my forearm.
          
          I smiled, "alright.” 
          
          I inhaled a deep breath, “Well, this is gonna hurt,” I muttered as I drove the knife into my abdomen.
          
          She screamed something but I didn't flinch, my eyes never leaving hers. “Five seconds,” I said, “If you don’t talk…I go deeper.”

The new chapter will be up tomorrow. This weekend was just so hectic *sighs* and I couldn't finish it up. So, here is a little teaser for the time being: 
          
          
          
          Maria's little brain short-circuited beautifully. She looked from Aylin to me, then back to Aylin again. "So...you don't love Chase now?"
          
          Aylin smiled gently, brushing her fingers over one of Maria's pigtails. "No, sweetie. I don't," she said softly. "He's just my friend. Nothing mo—"
          
          Huh, as if.
          
          "No, not even her friend," I cut in, my jaw ticking at the mere thought of it. Aylin's eyes burned into me. She looked more than ready to scratch my face if Maria wasn't standing between us, "I won't allow it." I added, my eyebrow raising in warning. 
          
          Maria frowned, thinking still. Then, because children were chaos wrapped in innocence, no filters whatsoever in their little heads, she tilted her head again, studying Aylin some more before she asked, "Do you love Uncle Nathan?"
