I believe that books are the most potent form of magic we have in our world. They fascinate me, as within that universe of words on a page, I both lose myself and find myself. 
Books are a reminder to the human race that our minds are capable of creating something so powerful and beautiful, merely through the extraordinary combination of letters, that it can form images and concepts that reach across time and distance and touch the lives of people around the globe. Books are, to me, one of the greatest achievements of mankind. 
And we, my fellow book lovers, have magic at our fingertips, galaxies in our imaginations, the written word in our veins and shooting stars in our hearts.
