            “  i  don’t  believe  things  just  because  i’m  told  them.  you  think  i’m  adorable.?  ”    (  her  entire  demeanor  seemed  to  change.  despite  the  soft  flush  on  her  cheeks,  the  way  she  was  looking  at  him  had  changed.  her  tone  seemed  to  be  teasing,  almost  like  she’d  expected  him  to  deny  it  or  even  be  embarrassed  by it.  )

            『  he gave her a warm smile as he copied her, wrapping his arms around her. he just wanted a hug </3  』  “ you’ve been nothing but kind to me since we first met, you deserve that position, love. “  『  he chuckled. her reactions and her smiles were just so very adorable. he liked her smile. her smiles made him smile.  』

            ( naia blinked. then she blinked again. had she heard correctly.? she was on top of the pile.? her.? that felt surreal. )    
            “ i— i’m not sure what i did to gain the pleasure of being at the top of that pile, but— thank you.! ”    ( she had a smile on her lips, her eyes bright. her cheeks were a soft pink, but she was sure she could play it off as smiling too much if he mentioned it. this seemed to have made her incredibly happy. )

            『  silas almost immediately melted into the hug, his arms slowly wrapping around naia as he pulled her closer.  』  “ hello, love. are you alright ? “  『  he said quietly, looking down at her as his fingers began stroking through her hair. it was obvious that just the simple existence of naia had distracted silas from everything else that was going on in that moment. but did he care ? no. he didn’t even notice. and he wasn’t really ever going to.  』

            ( esmé did let go of him eventually, and when she did she had a wide grin on her face. she seemed to have noticed something about him just by the hug, but she made no further explanation— she liked him. it was obvious. 
            it wasn’t long before the twins had gotten wrapped up in their own conversation, and naia took that chance to properly greet silas. she gave him a hug, her body relaxing against him. )    “ hi, silas. ”   ( she said softly, a soft smile on her lips. )
